COLLECTION NO.2 MAGICAL RINGS
2026
THE MAKING OF THE “MAGICAL RINGS” COLLECTION
We should say more about this because these are not ordinary rings. First, each one is handmade by a Balinese artist. We chose a small artisan studio that does not produce rings on an assembly line. In mass production the process often begins with a master made by hand, in wax or printed in 3D. From that master a silicone or investment mold is created and copies are cast using the lost wax method or centrifugal casting. For larger runs manufacturers may use stamping, CNC or die casting, and 3D printing is increasingly replacing traditional techniques.
At Rebrandt every ring is made entirely by hand, without casting. The craftsman shapes and models the metal directly, cuts, solders, attends to details and hand sands and polishes each element. Stones are set by hand and every stage requires quality control and individual adjustments. This process is slower and more costly than mass production, but it yields a unique finish, greater detail and the possibility to personalize each piece.
Because our artist is Balinese and works in Bali, each ring begins with a ritual of intention. This quiet spiritual practice fills the handmade pieces with personal meaning and care, making every ring truly one of a kind. We source stones from private collectors who do it out of passion. Each stone has its own story and distinctive character, which gives our jewelry soul and authenticity.
When a ring is finished we take it to a healer who conducts the ritual of intention. The ceremony is led by a non-commercial Balinese priest whose discovery required our contacts. The ritual includes offerings, the lighting of incense, prayers and the chanting of mantras. It is a calm respectful moment of consecration that gives the object spiritual meaning and protection and closes the creative process, adding personal power to each piece. Such a blessing reinforces the project’s intention, brings positive energy, imparts a sense of protection and connection to the place of origin and increases the emotional value of the jewelry for the wearer.
The collection was created to celebrate local culture and art. We would never want to change Bali; we want to honor it. The island has become our home and we are grateful. We hope it will accept our gift and allow its culture to spread around the world.
